In this roundup, I’ve compiled a list of the 15 best video and audio editing apps in the Mac App Store. Not to worry though, I’ve made it easy for you to get started without having to spend a lot of time looking at a zillion different apps. Unfortunately, it can be somewhat daunting to sift through all of the video and audio editing apps currently in the Mac App Store. And one of the best places to to get the tools to do such work is the Mac App Store. Many professionals use OS X as their preferred platform for creating and editing video and audio content. It is puzzling why Toast picks up the non-DTS track in the VIDEO_TS folders convert dialog but not in the Video Files nor in Popcorn. The Mac has long been regarded as one of the best platforms for video and audio editing. The sound is back but so are the gaps - exactly the same as when I converted the entire VIDEO_TS folder. I clicked the "Edit" button on the chapter in the Video Files pane and picked a Dolby Digital audio track instead of the DTS 5.1 track and converted it again. See other post, which you (tsantee) kindly replied to. Interestingly, there was no audio - seemingly for the same reason that I cannot rip the audio successfully in Popcorn. I tried what you suggested as far as dragging a chapter from Media Browser to Convert / Video Files and then converted it. The VIDEO_TS folder is encryption free video from a commercial concert DVD that I have, not from a DVD recorder or camcorder. After repairing the breaks in Streamclip choose Convert to MPEG in the File menu. MPEG Streamclip is freeware but requires Apple's $20 QuickTime MPEG2 Playback Component. If the problem remains then you may need to use the application MPEG Streamclip to repair timecode breaks. Now do the conversion to see if that makes a better version. ![]() Now drag what you want to the convert window with Video Files selected as the format. Double-click on the folder's description to see the individual video titles (you can double-click on a title to see chapters within a title). Choose DVD with the top button of the Media Browser and select the VIDEO_TS folder. ![]() One is to use the Toast Media Browser to extract the video from the VIDEO_TS folder. These can be a problem for DVDs recorded in video mode on standalone DVD recorders or DVD camcorders. Just guessing but this may be due to Toast not handling time-code breaks properly in the source DVD. ![]()
